Who/What is Suds Up Soap?

Suds Up Soap was created in 2010, out of a desire to make Christmas presents for family and friends in 2009 with what people in the industry call melt and pour soap.  September of 2010, the first batch of cold process soap was created.  I was hooked!  All these pretty soaps, and I could control the ingredients and make them better for my family and customers with sensitive skin!  Soap definitely is a gateway craft!  After soap, I started making bath bombs, bath salts, bath soaks, body scrubs, body mists, body wash, smelly jelly, different lotions, massage melts, candles, chunk candles, smelly sachets, and more.

So Why "Suds Up Soap"?  I wanted to come up with a catchy name, nothing too pretentious or obscure.  My husband came up with the "Suds" part and I put in the "Up" to make "Suds Up Soap", but we are way more than soap, but the name stuck so here we are.  Everything is created in Catawba NC with the two hands that are typing this little blurb.

In 2012, I became a licensed esthetician in NC.  I wanted to learn all about the skin and the best ingredients to make your skin happy! I try to make everything as natural as possible, with as little parabens as possible, if you want something to last more than a few weeks, you need some type of preservative for lotions, shower gels and scrubs.  They come into contact with water, and water is the number one culprit for mold.  Soaps and solid melts do not need preservatives as the water in soap has been cured out and melts do not even contain water.  If you ever have questions, don't hesitate to contact me

I live in Catawba NC with my husband of almost 21 years, Kevin.  Together we have 4 cats, 3 dogs, 2 goats, 3 ducks, and a growing number of chickens.  We just added turkey poults to our little farm.  We have no children of our own, but have many nieces and nephews, even a great niece!

Update:  As of December 2019, all production has been moved upstairs to an unused office space in our house.  I have made quite a few changes, but if you would like to see it, here is a little video....
